Fun fact, a solo truckdriver can make newyork to la in 5 days while governed at 61mph. This is limited to 11 hours of drive time before a 10 hour break. Of course this was also before the bullshit csa regs that mandate a 30 min break. A team can cut that time to 3 days. Big fuel tanks, filling bottles, and not screwing around can get that time down further. Just running the speed limit in theory could get that time down to 41 hours assuming no stop, no traffic.

In 2009 the three of us, Mom, Dad, and Son piled into our 2008 Dodge Caravan. The back was packed to the roof with cloths and other stuff. We drove 16,000 KM (10000 Miles) through 27 USA states and three countries including a week in Jamaica. We didn't drive fast, no tickets the whole trip, and we spent days in lots of wonderful places. Not a race so 10,000 miles in six weeks won't qualify us for a trophy, but we most certainly had a wonderful trip, our Epic Roadtrip.
